October at Clear Creek
The last two weeks in October we spent at Clear Creek State Campground. It was a unique camping experience for us. There was a lot of rain for most of the first week. Clear Creek swelled and left its banks overflowing into the campground itself. The bridge that allows for campers to cross Clear Creek was under water and was closed leaving a camper stranded until the water receded a few days later.
Clear Creek' s water level is up and just below the bridge that crosses it and connects the two sections of the campground.
The rains have stopped and the leaves have taken on their autumn hues and the Clarion River is calm.
