Edinburgh

H.M.Y. Brittania is out of service and permanently docked in Edinburgh harbor. Jim and I toured the ship. On the tour you could see the private Royal State Rooms and a number of public areas. For 200 pounds sterling you could have dinner on board the Brittania and a ticket to the Tattoo. At the time of our visit, August 2006, that is the equivalent of almost $400.

Lord Wellington - one of England's greaters heroes. Look carefully at what is on his head. Looks like a traffic cone! And, we each brought home a pair of his boots!!

Scotland's largest industry is wool. Here you see a woolen mill and hundreds of different tartan plaids.

Along the Royal Mile there are all sorts of things to be seen. Here is a William Wallace look-a-like. At one end of the Royal Mile is Edinburgh castle, at the other is Holyrood House.
