Edinburgh Castle

Edinburgh Castle sits atop an extinct volcano. In its history, the castle has never been taken by enemy forces.

The esplanade is the location for the annual Tattoo held each August. In the distance is the enterance to the castle.

Inside the main gate is the inner gate. After passing through the portcullis, you enter the castle interior.
